FAQs
What happens if I cannot attend a course that I signed up for?
Please email info@wooddenco.com as soon as possible if you cannot attend class for any reason.
We understand that cancellations are often the result of circumstances outside of your control, but the income from our courses is used to maintain the shop, purchase materials, cover the cost of instructors, etc. Last minute cancellations significantly impact our ability to offer courses. With that said, our course cancellation and refund policy is:
All requests for cancellation refunds, deferments, or transfer must be submitted in writing at least 48 hours prior to a scheduled class start time.
Refunds, deferments, or transfers will be granted for cancellation requests received at least one (1) week before a scheduled class start time. A deferment will allow you to apply your course fee as a credit towards a future class; whereas, a transfer will allow you to switch your enrollment to another eligible person.
For cancellation requests received with less than one (1) weeks’ notice (but more than 48 hours’ notice), only a deferment or transfer will be offered; refunds will not be granted.
No refunds, deferments, or transfers will be granted for cancellation requests submitted within 48 hours of a scheduled class start time.
Participants may only request a deferral or transfer once per class.
No refunds, credits, transfers, make-ups, or deferments will be granted for missed classes unless prior written notice is provided in accordance with our Course Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Please contact info@wooddenco.com with refund, deferment, or transfer requests or with any questions.
What safety guidelines do you have at the shop?
Safety is our top priority! All woodworking classes will include an orientation where we will review our shop safety guidelines that can be viewed here. All participants will also be required to sign a liability waiver acknowledging the inherent risks you are assuming by participating in a woodworking activity.
What should I wear to woodworking courses?
Please wear comfortable clothing, closed-toed shoes, and tie back long hair. Avoid baggy clothes and loose, dangling jewelry, straps, or fabric, including bracelets, necklaces, hoodie ties, etc. Please note, this is a woodshop with no air conditioning. You can expect to get sweaty and dusty in the summer and chilly in the winter.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, ear protection, and dust masks will be available for use during classes. You are welcome to bring your own PPE if you have it.
Where do I park?
Free parking is available on-site and along the street.
What are my food and drink options?
We recommend bringing a water bottle and some snacks to class. Full day courses will have a lunch break and there are a number of restaurants just a short drive away. You are also welcome to bring lunch and eat at the shop, we have a refrigerator and microwave available. We ask that you only eat in designated areas.
